If you are using Windows Live Mail and you have already accumulated a lot of email messages, you might wonder how you can transfer all your existing email messages to your MS Outlook when you decide to discontinue your Windows Live Mail.
The process is straightforward especially if Windows Live Mail and MS Outlook 2007, 2010 or 2013 are both installed in the same computer. If MS Outlook is not installed on the same computer where Windows Live Mail is installed, the process detailed below is not applicable. Instead, you need to backup your Windows Live Mail emails manually and then import then to MS Outlook. Check out this article: How to Backup Windows Live Mail Emails? Where Are these Emails Stored?

The process detailed below moves your Windows Live Mail directly into your Outlook mail files.

- In the dialog box that appears, select Microsoft Exchange as the format and then click Next.
- You will get a prompt saying that all email will be exported to Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Exchange, click Ok to confirm and continue.
- In this Export process, you have the option to export all email folders or just select the appropriate folders that you want to export by using the Select folders option. Make your selection and click on OK.
